05 Apr Karmelle Shoot
Karmelle are a UK based manufactures of high quality liquid filling, capping and labelling machinery. They are based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire so they wanted a local photographer to shoot their machinery. This was the first shoot for Karmelle and our first problem was getting all our equipment loaded up in the car and make our way five minutes down the road in a foot of snow on a Monday morning. But we made it and was great to be invited in to a nice hot cup of coffee. We were there a couple of hours setting up our background and lighting equipment, cleaning the machine and getting the various angles and close ups, we also used a couple of the guys from the factory as models. Peter the Managing Director of Karmelle got to view all our images as we shot them on the laptop so we could make sure he got everything he needed. Once finished we packed up our gear and braved the cold on the five minute trip back to the studio.
Next job is post production and since this was a very large piece of kit we had to clip out the machine using Photoshop and put it on a clean white background. Then we check for any retouching that might be required and save all the images in different formats for our client. They can then use the relevant file format for web or print.
