06 Jun Photographic Copying
We were approached a few months ago by Phil Lynes at Mosaic Print Management Ltd to directly copy four bespoke painted canvases for his client. Mosaic would then re-print these canvases so the originals could be safely stored away to avoid any damage.
Mosaic’s Client had commissioned an artist to paint these canvases of his garage business through the years from a mobile mechanic’s van to the large company they are now in four amazing paintings.
So Phil from Mosaic came to see us at HDTWO’s studio and we set up a camera scan set up.
With our amazing Phase one kit and 60.5 million pixels of camera equipment we photographed the canvas under perfectly even light. We had to ensure everything was perfectly squared up to avoid any distortion and photograph each canvas.
Colour calibration was critical and we ensured that we had the correct white balance and checked we had the matching colour profiles ready for print.
All the images were provided retouched in post production and then on a disk in the different resolutions required.
We had an email today from Phil at Mosaic with this picture he took in his client’s waiting area. His client is pleased with the outcome and Mosaic managed the print to make sure the final canvases on his wall looked just like the originals.
To sum up……… A job well done!
